Buck Ballistic Burney:
Ballistic has over 3,000 hours flying many of the nation's top fighters including the F-16 and the F-15.
Recently retired from the Senior Leadership Team for the Florida Air National Guard, Buck's inherent leadership qualities allowed him to be selected as one of the Battle Commanders for the entire Southeastern Air Defense Sector of the United States (there are only 3 air defense sectors in the nation). When on duty, Buck was one of only three commanders given the incredible responsibility of authorizing the downing of a commercial airliner if deemed necessary. Buck was actually on duty when the now infamous "shoe bomber" tried to blow up a passenger airliner - talk about performing under pressure!
As previous commander of the US Alert Force in Homestead, FL, Buck led his team to be the first and only organization in the USAF and the Air National Guard to achieve an OUTSTANDING rating in every area inspected by the Alert Force Evaluation Team.
As a senior leader, Buck epitomizes leadership, teamwork, and execution. He has an inspirational, motivational message for senior leadership as well as corporate employees on creating and maintaining synergistic high performance cultures in organizations.
Buck flew the F-16 fighter that escorted the Cuban MiG fighter that defected from Cuba in 1993.
Buck also has survived an ejection in a high performance fighter. Someone else's mistake almost cost Buck his life!
Also, Buck was one of only two featured keynote speakers that John C. Maxwell (author of NY Times bestseller Failing Forward and The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership) allowed to speak at his company Injoy. Zig Ziegler was the other.
